First Baptist Church of Hudson

13343 Fivay Rd, Hudson, FL, 34667

First Baptist Church of Hudson is a Southern Baptist congregation that has been part of the Hudson community since 1954. In early 2024 the church moved from its longtime home on Hudson Avenue to a campus at 13343 Fivay Road, where it now holds its worship services and most weekly activities. Rev. Stephen Gerhart serves as lead pastor. Sunday is the center of the church's week. An early worship service begins at 8:00 a.m., followed by a breakfast from 9:00 to 9:30. Sunday School starts at 9:30, and the main worship service is at 10:30. The church also serves its Spanish-speaking neighbors: a Spanish-language Sunday School meets at 11:30 a.m. and Spanish worship follows at 1:00 p.m. An evening Bible study begins at 6:00 p.m. Weeknights and weekdays carry their own rhythm. A prayer meeting is held Tuesday at 7:00 p.m., and a Spanish ministry meets Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. On Wednesdays, Kid's Club and Student Ministry run from 6 to 8 p.m. A Men's Bible Study meets Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m. The church is also known for outreach. On Wednesdays it runs the Agape 5-2 Food Pantry from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., a thrift store from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and a hot meal from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Because the outreach ministries have been affected by the church's relocation, anyone seeking food assistance should call (727) 378-5885 first to confirm the current location and hours. The church also offers showers on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; again, a call ahead is recommended. Visitors are welcome at any service. The church can be reached by phone, by email at , or through its website at fbchudson.org, which also carries video of recent services.
