Brookridge Golf & Country Club
8161 Hampton St, Brooksville, FL, 34613
Brookridge Golf & Country Club is an 18-hole, par-72 course that anchors the Brookridge community on the western edge of Hernando County. The layout plays to 6,491 yards from the back tees, with five sets of tees that let players of different abilities find a comfortable game. The greens were renovated in 2020. The club is private and member-owned. Membership is tied to property ownership in Brookridge, but the doors are not entirely closed to others. Renters and visitors can play through monthly packages, provided they are sponsored by a Brookridge property owner. It is a practical arrangement for seasonal residents and guests who want regular access without a full membership. League play is a central part of the club's rhythm. There are men's, women's and mixed leagues, and anyone interested in joining one should check with the pro shop, which also handles questions about packages. The pro shop is open daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is the first stop for tee times, equipment and information on membership options. The club office keeps shorter hours, generally Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and is the place for membership paperwork and account questions. After a round, players can head to the bar and snack shop, which serves beer, wine, soft drinks and light fare. The course sits on Hampton Street, west of Brooksville, within a gated community for adults 55 and older. Because the club is private, it is best to call ahead before arriving. The pro shop can be reached at (352) 596-8161, and the office at (352) 596-3028. More details are available at brookridgegolf.com.
