Hernando Beach Tropical Grill
4139 Shoal Line Blvd., Hernando Beach, FL, 34607
Hernando Beach Tropical Grille is a casual open-air seafood restaurant and tiki bar at the rear of Hernando Beach Marina on Shoal Line Blvd, on a canal running out to the Gulf. Despite the tropical name it serves New England style seafood: Maine lobster rolls, Ipswich whole-belly clams and fish and chips, alongside blackened grouper, burgers, wings, steaks, fajitas and gator bites. It was opened on 4 July 2013 by Mark and Cheryl Peloquin, who previously ran eight restaurants on Massachusetts' North Shore and built the place to recreate a New England clam-shack atmosphere on the water. Diners can arrive by boat and tie up at the restaurant's own dock, and the venue is dog-friendly. Live music runs at weekends, though the schedule varies — call ahead to confirm.
