Laffs2Go

Laffs2Go is a traveling comedy production company that has been putting professional stand-up in front of Florida audiences since 2013. The model is simple: rather than operating a comedy club, the company partners with existing venues and brings the entire show with it. Stage, lights, sound, microphones, staging, and the comedians all arrive as a package, which lets a theater, brewery, lodge, or country club host a full comedy night without owning any of the equipment or booking any of the talent. Locally that means Spring Hill Comedy Night, a recurring series at Stage West Playhouse on Forest Oaks Boulevard. Recent and upcoming bookings there include Chris Gorges of Netflix and NBC, Mike Rivera of HBO and ABC, and Tim The Dairy Farmer of FOX, CMT and SiriusXM. The same series runs in Ocala and other Florida markets, so a comedian playing Spring Hill one weekend may be down the road the next. Every show follows the same 90-minute three-comedian structure: a host to open, a feature in the middle, and a headliner to close. Shows are generally 18 and over. Tickets typically run around $25 for general admission and $30 for VIP seating, sold through Eventbrite, and pricing varies by venue. The roster the company draws from includes Al Ernst, Carmen Ciricillo, Devin Siebold, Helen Keaney, Bill Ohse, Dean Napolitano, James Yon, Danny Bevins, and Ken Miller, with credits across Comedy Central, HBO, Netflix, NBC, FOX, and Dry Bar. Many of the acts work clean, which is why the company also books corporate events and private functions alongside its public shows. Venues interested in hosting can request a date through the Laffs2Go website. The pitch to a venue is that the production company handles everything except attendance, so the venue's job is to fill the room and sell food and drinks. One note for anyone searching: the company operated for years as Chuckle Hut, and that name still appears as the ticketing organizer on Eventbrite and in the social media handles. Laffs2Go and Chuckle Hut are the same operation, run by Robert Garguilo Jr. Show listings, the full comedian roster, and venue booking requests are all at laffs2go.com.
